
North Carolina- Chrysler LLC - filed the motion with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in New York on Thursday, citing low dealership sales.
The Company plans to eliminate 789 of its 3,200 dealerships would close at least 14 dealerships in North Carolina on June 9.
Treasury said trimming dealerships at GM and Chrysler "has given both companies a new lease on life," by helping prevent company liquidations.
North Carolina Car Dealerships are among those proposed for elimination by the company. They include:

MOORE MOTOR CO located in WASHINGTON, North Carolina
JOHNSON CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP OF located in DURHAM, North Carolina
METROLINA CHRYSLER JEEP DODGE located in CHARLOTTE, North Carolina
