Chrysler-Closing-Colorado-Car-Dealerships-List

Colorado-Chrysler LLC will close down 789 dealerships, or about 25% of the current number, which includes 13 dealerships in Colorado. Many of the dealers' sales are too low, the automaker said, with just over 50 percent of dealers accounting for about 90 percent of the company's U.S. sales.

Many car owners are curious as to what will happen if the dealership where they bought their car closes.

Chrysler said its dealer network "needs to be reduced and reconfigured in a targeted manner to strengthen the network and dealer profitability and to achieve optimal results for the dealers and consumers."

Chrysler has received $4 billion in federal loans and has been operating in bankruptcy protection since April 30. Its sales this year are down 46 percent compared with the first four months of last year and it reported a $16.8 billion net loss for 2008.

In Colorado , 13 dealerships will be impacted with closings. More than 38,000 people nationwide- will be without work once the dealerships close on June 9.

  2. I have 15 dealerships within 30 miles of my home.

    Seems like a lot

I am checking for deals too. It is the best time to buy a car. 50% sound good right now. I wonder if Ford is going through the the financial woes like GM and Chrysler.
