Chrysler-Eliminating-17-Car-Dealerships-Maryland

Maryland--Chrysler LLC slashing 17 car dealerships in Maryland.Maryland Chrysler dealershipsdesperately attempted to stay optimistic. Chrysler eliminating 789 Dealerships Under Bankruptcy Restructuring Plan nevertheless had a huge impact on the country.

Treasury said trimming dealerships at GM and Chrysler "has given both companies a new lease on life," by helping prevent company liquidations. Many of the dealers' sales are too low, the automaker said. More than 38,000 people will be without work once the dealerships close on June 9.

17 Maryland Car Dealerships are among those proposed for elimination by the company. They include:

ANTWERPEN DODGE located in RANDALLSTOWN, Maryland
,

Trying to eliminate dealerships beyond the already systematic consolidations that have taken place for the past 60 years will only serve to hurt the hard-working employees of those dealerships and their families; the numerous communities that rely on the taxes generated by those dealerships; the related businesses that sell to those dealerships; and the consumers who are served by the competition and convenience of the dealerships; and the numerous charitable organizations that benefit from dealers' support.
