Susan Margaret Boyle a Scottish singer 47 who appeared on Britain's Got Talent.

When she appeared on the Britain's Got Talent stage for the first time, the audience and the judges appeared apprehensive and judgmental of her unpolished appearance.

Boyle's sudden fame drew much commentary on why this story was so widely reported and what it implies, while others drew moral lessons from people's reactions to her performance.

On the way up, the 48-year-old's performance last month of "I Dreamed a Dream" on television series "Britain's Got Talent" was downloaded nearly 200 million times on the Internet, and within days Boyle was headline news around the world.

Susan Boyle surprised everyone, including the judges, Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden and Piers Morgan in the talent competition which is sometimes mistakenly referred to as the British Idol.

Susan Boyle lost to Diversity, an all-male street dance group composed of 11 guys. Diversity is indeed deserving for the Britain's Got Talent title, it's just that Susan Boyle was the favorite to win it because of her sudden popularity. Diversity, as winners of the third season of the show, received £100,000 (or $159,000 US) as prize money and the chance to perform for Queen Elizabeth II during the Royal Variety Show.

Susuan Boyle final performance in Britain's Got Talent 2009. Despite the loss. It was a good run for Susuan Boyle. She's not done yet. A very talented person who stuns the world. The fans will always be there...
