4500-Tax-Credit-for-Old-Gas-Guzzling-Car-Truck-SUV-VanWashington ~ Congress has approved the »»»»»cash-for-clunkers legislation that would offer new car buyers up to $4,500 in tax credit for those who are willing to trade in their old gas-guzzling car,truck,SUV or van - for more gas-sipping vehicles.



The House voted 298-118 in favor of the bill; all but nine Democrats, as well as 59 Republicans gave the OK for the bill. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration »»»(NHTSA) will be handling the Car Allowance Rebate System »»»(CARS) Program.


At least the tax credit voucher will help the automotive industry. Overall "it's motivates people to buy new cars". The government now owns part of the automotive industry. Government officals seeking a long term financial goal to improve the auto industry. Giving Americans up to $4,500 (C.A.R.S) incentive to purchase a new vehicle. Also having more fuel efficient cars on the road; would improve the environment.



Car Rebate break down:

Trade-in vehicles must be rated at no more than 18 mpg to qualify, meaning it will benefit truck, SUV and van owners more than passenger car owners. For those who trade in a car that gets at least 4 mpg more, they’ll receive a $3,500 voucher; pick a car that averages 10 mpg more and those buyers will get an extra $1,000 for $4,500 total.


Key Requirements:

Remember your Trade-in vehicles must get no more than 18 miles per gallon to qualify. Also your vehicle must be insured for at least one year and the vehicle must be in drivable condition. Congress approved the $106 Billion Dollar Program; but it wasn't enough. The government added 2 Billion more to the cash for clunkers program.

Here is some tips rules and reglations on the»»» Car Allowance Rebate program. Also to determine if you qualify, and key tips before making a clunker decision.



The C.A.R.S program was approved by the government which allow us a chance to trade in are old car or truck and get up to a $4,500 credit towards a new fuel-efficient vehicle.



Overall "its sounds great! but...

  •  What condition is your vehicle in?
The safety of vehicle is vital in making a decision. For example: broken
seats,cracked windshield, leaking car roof, windows won't roll up or down; etc.
These problems could be very annoying.

Not having a reliable car to drive to work everyday can be very stressful. Sometimes you wake up on a cold mourning and your car won't start; you have to wait a hour or so to warm up; now you late for work. I know this guy drives a car that cuts off every time he stop at a light. The guy literally have to put his car in parked and restart the engine when the light turn green.

Repairs can be very very costly. If you making frequent repairs on your vehicle(clunker).

Chrysler LLC ~ Chrysler announces today they will match the "Car Allowance Rebate". The government is offering a $4500 tax rebate incentive; for those who are willing to trade in their old clunker. The Chrysler vehicle incentive will begin on July 23 and end on Aug 31.


Overall "the automaker matching rebate incentive could turn out to be a winner". The company is in rebuilding stage; but you could get up to $9,000 in rebates when you purchase a new vehicle under the "Car Allowance Rebate System" + Chrysler matching rebate incentive. The company is laying out all the marbles on this one.



Chrysler Matching Incentive?:



  • According to reports Chrysler says that new car buyers are eligible even if you don't qualify for the cash for clunkers program???

  • Chrysler will offer up to $4500 in cash or you can get 0% percent financing for 6 years on majority of its 2009 ~ Chrysler,Dodge and Jeep vehicles.

Chrysler modifications on the matching rebate. They are still offering the $4,500 rebate, but only on fewer select models. It all depends on your local dealership inventory. Unfortunately the problem with Chrysler is lack of inventory. WoW! Cars are selling fast during the cash for clunkers era.


"Cash For Clunkers" Qualifications:

  • 1985 car or newer(Less than 25 Years Old)
  • Your Vehicle gets less than 18 miles per gallon
  • Also have the vehicle title and be insured in your name(Owner of the Car) for at least one year
  • Car must be running(The car must start up and drivable)

1. Your vehicle must be less than 25 years old on the trade-in date( Meaning if you trade in this year 2009, the vehicle can be no older then 1984)

2. You can only purchase or lease of new vehicles qualify.(At least a 5 year lease if you want to use the tax credit voucher; only if you lease a vehicle)

3. Your trade-in vehicle must be registered and insured continuously for One year preceding the trade-in(You can't just trade any old clunker in;also the car have to be running.)

4. Find your car's mpg rating on the window sticker, or go to:(Source) cars.gov.

5. You don't need a voucher, dealers will apply a credit when you purchase your new fuel-efficient vehicle(Also Dealerships have to ensure that the car gets crushed; after the purchase of your new vehicle.)

Here's the Deal you can get a Smart Car for $99 Bucks a Month. The federal government is offering a $4500 tax credit. A wow type deal and smart; see most people in the US can't afford a car note to buy a new car.

Smart financing is offering $99 a month for 36 months. Here's the catch a huge payment at the end a whopping $6,667.Don't be alarmed the value of smart cars are pretty good after 3 years; roughly about 50%.

Ford gets Federal Funding to Build-Fuel-Efficient-Vehicles

Ford Motor Co - receives federal funding from the Energy Department. Ford will get $5.9 billion to build more fuel-efficient vehicles. Ford Motor Co - receives federal funding from the Energy Department. Ford will get $5.9 billion to build more fuel-efficient vehicles.


Many auto companies, like suppliers and battery makers have pursue a total of $38 billion from the loan program. The company seeks to receive $5.9 billion in loans by 2011, still clueless how much funding Ford would actually receive.


Congress approved the loan program last year to help car companies and suppliers retool their facilities to develop green vehicles and components such as advanced batteries.


Congress says the loans were designed to help the auto manufacturers meet new fuel-efficiency standards of at least 35 miles per gallon by 2020.



Ford has pursue a total of $11 billion from the loan program. Also the Company
said it would invest $14 billion in advanced technologies over the next 7 years.
The loan app was submitted by the company at end of last year, that would help
Ford with the investment.
