Chrysler LLC ~ Chrysler announces today they will match the "Car Allowance Rebate". The government is offering a $4500 tax rebate incentive; for those who are willing to trade in their old clunker. The Chrysler vehicle incentive will begin on July 23 and end on Aug 31.


Overall "the automaker matching rebate incentive could turn out to be a winner". The company is in rebuilding stage; but you could get up to $9,000 in rebates when you purchase a new vehicle under the "Car Allowance Rebate System" + Chrysler matching rebate incentive. The company is laying out all the marbles on this one.

Detroit - Chrysler LLC’s planned asset sale to a group led by Italy’s Fiat S.p.A was delayed by Ginsburg while the U.S. Supreme Court considers a request for a longer adjournment that might shatter the deal.


Chrysler said that the sale is necessary to stop losses of $100 million a day. The sale - would transfer its Jeep, Chrysler and Dodge brands. The deal would also save over 38,000 jobs.

Chrysler-Discloses-Cars-Dealerships-Closing-in-Ohio

Ohio to be affected by Chrysler's decision to sever ties with 789 dealerships in the country, including 47 in Ohio. The recent news does not affect all Ohio Chrysler dealers. Many dealers who offer auto brands other than Chrysler will remain open for business. For some, the move would mean dropping the Chrysler brand from their line of sales and service.

Closing-17-Louisiana-Chrysler-Dealerships-List

Chrysler closing Seventeen dealerships in Louisiana, including one in New Orleans and one in the greater metro area. Louisiana dealerships are among 789 dealerships Chrysler plans to close nationwide, about 25 percent of the company's 3,200 dealers on June 9.


Many of the dealers' sales are too low, the automaker said, with just over 50 percent of dealers accounting for about 90 percent of the company's U.S. sales.

Chrysler said its dealer network "needs to be reduced and reconfigured in a targeted manner to strengthen the network and dealer profitability and to achieve optimal results for the dealers and consumers."

Wisconsin - The crisis hits Wisconsin. According to a bankruptcy filing, Chrysler said it would close 18 auto dealerships in the state. In a bankruptcy court motion filed in New York, Chrysler said it wants to eliminate 789 dealerships by June 9. The motion said the dealerships sell too few cars and trucks, or compete with themselves.

Mississippi-- Chrysler is closing about 789 dealerships across the country as part of their bankruptcy agreement, including six in Mississippi.


But as the dealer points out, these massive cuts could make Chrysler even more unreal to the average consumer. It would seem the costs from unsold inventory, among other expenses, are high enough for Chrysler to overlook this public image.


The company, in a motion filed with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in New York, said many of the dealers' sales are too low. Just over 50 percent of the dealers account for about 90 percent of the company's U.S. sales, the motion said.

In its motion, Chrysler said it has many car dealerships that sell one or two of its brands, with Chrysler-Jeep dealerships competing against Dodge dealers as well as other automakers' stores across the country.

ARKANSAS - Chrysler LLC is closing eight dealerships in Arkansas as part of the company’s bankruptcy plan to close 789 dealerships nationwide. The dealerships are to close no later than June 9. In Arkansas , the moves will have far-reaching implications for dozens of cities, which depend on sales tax revenue from the dealerships to fund substantial portions of their budgets.
